Regina Stradford
"I am a Charlotte native, and was educated here in the public schools. I have spent my adulthood serving others in hospitality or in a care giving role. In 2007, I followed a vocational role to pursue Human Services as a profession and become an advocate for those in need. As a certified nursing assistant (2001-2008), I witnessed the challenges families face in meeting their loved ones' medical needs while also maintaining quality of life, respect for individual choices, and finances. As a direct support professional, I have come to understand a multitude of desires and concerns family members have for their loved ones, as well as the systemic challenges in caring for them. Through founding and running my own small business, A Humble Caregiver / A Humble Service (2004-2010), I learned to build relationships with families and become part of their personal lives while also respecting individual autonomy."
